History

"A historic inn with a coach house, erected at the end of XVIII cent. made of wrought-stone and brick, covered with plaster, the main part introduced by a shingled portico supported by two circular pillars"
This is a description befitting the oldest inn in the area of Nowy Targ, located at 105 Waksmundska Street. There is even a folk tune that was sung by travelers walking the Wine and Salt routes from Hungarian Eger and Tokay through Niedzica, Czorsztyn, Dębno, Nowy Targ, to Wieliczka.
The history of the inn at 105 Waksmudzka St. in Nowy targ, which his officially listed as a historic site (no. 539 Kl. V-115/57, was very turbulent.
In 1976 the in had to be transferred to the Treasure Department under the nationalization act. The Department was to establish a regional museum of the Nowy targ region. While the building changed hands systematically, it fell into a state of neglect. In 1990 as a consequence of a total lack of any renovation efforts and care the building collapsed.

The process of returning the site to private hands ended in 1992, when the local authorities decided to hand it over to private owners. In December of 2003 the first New Year's Eve celebration party took place at the newly built inn called the Borzanka Inn.
We recommend it as a place for frequent visits for all inhabitants of Nowy Targ and elsewhere. We do our utmost to keep the tradition and history of the inn alive, and to ensure that the food served here is of superb quality, worthy of the place in which it is eaten.
Hey, the name of Borzanka will never die!
Neither in the valley, nor on mountains high!
